Former Principal of St. Peter's & Teacher at St. Gregory's: Josephine Ferry Passes Away

Josephine Ferry of Danbury, CT passed away suddenly and unexpectedly at her home on Sunday, October 11, 2015. She was 64 years old. She was the wife of John Ferry. 

Mrs. Ferry was born in Brooklyn, New York, on January 15, 1951, a daughter of the late Louis Pagan and surviving mother, Nellie Pagan. Josephine was a dedicated educator, holding positions at St. Peter School as a teacher and principal. She recently retired from St. Gregory School where she ended her career doing what she loved, teaching. She also chaired Science Horizons and several STEM and engineering programs. Mrs. Ferry enjoyed challenging her students to work to their full potential. 

Since her retirement, she and John have been busy running "Grandma and Grandpa's" daycare. She was a beloved daughter, wife, mother and grandmother who will be dearly missed. 

Mrs. Ferry is survived by her husband John Ferry; mother: Nellie Pagan of Danbury, CT; brother: Louis Pagan of Waterbury, CT; two daughters: Andrea Keane and her husband David and grandson Caleb of Bethel, CT and Erica Urrutia and her husband Cesar and grandsons Cesar III and Alexander of Ridgefield, CT. 

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, October 16, 2015 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Peter Church on Main St., Danbury, CT. Burial will follow at St. Peter Cemetery, Lake Ave Ext., Danbury, CT. 

Friends will be received from 5pm to 8pm on Thursday, October 15, 2015 at Green Funeral Home, 57 Main St., Danbury, CT. 
In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to the March of Dimes , 500 Winding Brook Drive, Suite 8, Glastonbury, CT 06037.
