The Ridgefield Playhouse Brings Muhammad Ali: The Whole Story to the Big Screen on July 10

He was the greatest fighter of all time.  A sports icon that was loved throughout the world. A man driven by his ambition to be the best.  Muhammad Ali was a name that put fear in the strongest of men. The Ridgefield Playhouse Film Society “Documentary Films Series” will present Muhammad Ali: The Whole Story on Sunday, July 10 at 6p.m., a portion of the proceeds will benefit the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research. 

In this special evening, explore Ali’s thunderous life and career, in and outside the ring, warts and all.  See some of Ali’s greatest fights – from Olympic triumph and battles with Sonny Liston, to his exhausting fights with Joe Frazier concluding with “The Thrilla in Manila.”  Watch him regain his title from George Foremen in the tumultuous “Rumble in the Jungle” in Africa. Hear from the people who knew him best, from experts of the world of boxing, relive the legendary fights and explore the life of boxing's greatest symbol, Ali. After this special screening, award winning journalist Ira Joe Fisher will host a Q&A with the film’s directors Sandra and Joseph Consentino.  Muhammad Ali: The Whole Story, produced and directed by Sandra & Joseph Consentino, the EMMY, ACE and HOT DOCS award winning TV documentary team. The film reveals Muhammad Ali’s complete back story and why in life, love and boxing – “He was the greatest!”  Support for this event comes from the Ridgefield Press.
