
Newtown voters can obtain absentee ballots for Republican and Democratic State primaries this Saturday 9am-12:00pm at Town Clerk's office
STATE PRIMARY TUESDAY, AUGUST 9th
Polls will be open at 6:00 A.M.
and will remain open until 8:00 P.M.
POLLING LOCATIONS
District 1-6 and 1-7 - Newtown Middle School
District 2-6 - Newtown High School
District 3-6 - Reed Intermediate School
Where do I vote?
ABSENTEE BALLOTS may be applied for by any qualified voter unable to vote at the polls due to the following reasons:
- My active service in the Armed Forces of the United States
- My absence from the town
- Sickness
- Physical disability
- My religious tenets which forbid secular activity on the day of the election, primary or referendum
- My duties as a primary, election or referendum official at a polling place other than my own during all of the hours of voting
*SPECIAL ABSENTEE BALLOT VOTING HOURS,
Saturday, August 6th at the Town Clerk's office from 9am to 12noon.
Absentee ballots must be must be received by the Town Clerk no later than 8:00 p.m. on August 9, 2022
