Mason Jar Holiday Decorating Contest (Ages 5 & Up)
Create a holiday-themed mason jar. Decorate it with your favorite holiday theme - get creative! Your jar can be decorated inside (like a snow globe) or on the outside. Mason jars will be displayed at the Newtown Community Center for judging. All completed mason jars need to be dropped off by December 15. The winner of each age category will receive a prize. Winners will be announced on December 21st.
Two categories:
Ages 5-12
Ages 13 & Up
Mason Jars will be provided by Newtown Parks and Recreation - stop by our office to pick one up . We are open Monday-Friday, 8am-4:30pm.
Contest Rules
1. Entries must be holiday or winter themed.
2. Participants are encouraged to develop a theme that is appropriate for public display. Jars may not include acts of violence, nudity, racially insensitive content, political content or an implicit representation of any group or person.
3. Newtown Parks and Recreation reserves the right to decline or remove any entry that is deemed inappropriate for general public display.
