Several Connecticut locations including Tarrywile Park in Danbury, are the backdrop of a new feature film “Summerhouse” produced by Magenta Light Studios and Newtown-based Chair 10 Productions.
Summerhouse is written and directed by Ed Kaplan and stars Malcolm McDowell [“Bombshell” and “Halloween”] and Jacob Ward.
On Facebook, Chair 10 Productions, set to commence filming this week, said, “We are honored to be producing and providing production services for this incredible project, really spotlighting Connecticut as an amazing place to film. Thanks to Bob Yari, Amanda Harvey, and the team at Magenta Light.”
While waiting to get drafted into the Vietnam War, college grad Ned Stern spends his last summer of freedom caring for a belligerent wealthy alcoholic man at his lakeside mansion only to find himself falling in love with a free-spirited and wild girl while questioning his commitment to his country.
