SANDY HOOK FIRE DEPARTMENT’S 2012 LOBSTER FEST

On Friday June 8 and Saturday June 9, Sandy hook Fire Department celebrated its 25th annual “Lobster Fest”  serving up over 2,000 lobsters, 700 pounds of rib eye and 50 crates of corn to town and area residents.

Along with the fabulous food that also included Manhattan-style clam chowder, home-made potato salad, rolls, hot dogs, a raw bar, and wonderful cupcakes, both nights  featured live music with an Irish band on Friday and a country music group on Saturday night.

Proceeds of the event go directly to firefighter’s training and maintenance of the fire house and gear.
