Even with temperatures in the 90's, students from Middle Gate School were paying attention on Main Street today. Kids from Mrs. Benton's 2nd grade class strolled along the sidewalks and learned about our community.
They're pictured here in front of Edmond Town Hall where they learned a little about Mary Hawley. They learned that Mary was a very generous lady. She gave the building to the town a long time ago. As a matter of fact, it was in 1929, and it was in memory of her great-grandfather, Judge William Edmond.
If you want to know more about Newtown's Main Street, just ask the kids from Middle Gate. They've got the answers.
