It was a warm, sunny day for ice cream at Rock Ridge Country Club today where cancer survivors and their loved ones enjoyed root beer floats, raffles and music.
Pictured here are Mike and Valerie Giarratano with their grandson. Young Sam got lucky—he won a green frog named Ribbit. No doubt, beating cancer is something to croak about.
Today's event was co-chaired by Cheryl Javlonowki and Chris Farrington who teamed up with Ryan Murphy and Christine Chalfant to welcome the guests. They said there's no Relay for Life in Newtown this year, but stay tuned for details about next year's event.
