Bethel’s Byrd’s Books Holds Huge Moving Sale

The independent book store, located on 213 Greenwood Ave, has a message and some big bargains:

Greetings!

Although we love our pretty second floor spot in the Victorian and our friends at Molten Java, it became apparent that we need a ground floor location in order to expand. We want to bring more titles, more programs and more gift items to you, as we make the store handicap accessible.

We will specialize more in Connecticut authors, illustrators, poets, publishers, books about Connecticut and local fine crafts. Also, we will add a section of self-published books on consignment from Connecticut authors.

We will continue to offer a quality selection of children's books, deep discount books, greeting cards and, of course, the latest in bestsellers. Our events will expand in scope and we will add some evening hours to make it more convenient for you.

As we transition, we will hold graduated sales over the month of August, then close for about a week or so to move into our new location down the street at

126 Greenwood Avenue (to the left of Verizon) - with lots of parking in the back behind English Apothecary!

You, our customers, have made it possible for us to grow and expand, and we are grateful....and we are SO excited!

Thank you for your support of independent book selling,

Byrd's book bargains:

August 10-16: 25% off

August 17-23: 40% off

August 24-31: 75% off

They're open Tuesday-Saturday, 10-6, and Sunday 12-4. Rumor is they're home reading on Mondays.
