Newtown Giving Circle to Host 30th Annual Breakfast for Regional Hospice

As the weather warms up, Newtown gets ready for its annual fundraising breakfast supporting Regional Hospice and Palliative Care (RHPC).
Now in its 30th year, Giving Circle Co-Chairs Marg Studley and Marie Sturdevant, along with their committee Marilyn Alexander, Ellyn Gehrett, Colleen Honan, Janet Hovious, Linda Trentacosta and Laurie Wrabel, are excited to host this breakfast once again on Wednesday, June 12th at 7:30am at The Waterview in Monroe, CT.

Neighbors and local businesses are encouraged to buy a table and fill it with seven of their invited guests.  Tables are available for purchase through any Giving Circle member or by contacting Regional Hospice and Palliative Care directly at (203) 702-9130.  Table sponsorships are $200 per table for eight guests.

This year’s event will include a special silent auction.  Master Carver David O’Konsky donated a one-of-a-kind hand-carved and painted Northern Cardinal made of tupelo wood in a special keepsake box.  The stunning craftsmanship is sure to delight art enthusiasts and bird watchers alike.

Since 1983, RHPC has cared for Newtown residents and those in neighboring towns, providing compassionate end-of-life care and bereavement support.  It is this commitment to caring for local community members that compels a group of Newtown volunteers to host a fundraising breakfast for the non-profit organization each year.
