Whip Salon Newtown Hosts Weekend Grand Opening Party, Fundraiser for Dylan's Wings of Change

Whip Salon Newtown is pleased to announce it is now open for business. The popular, high-end full service beauty salon offers haircuts, color services, blowout memberships and makeup services with other locations in Ridgefield and Westport. The salon caters to ladies, men and kids too and is delighted to be joining the Sandy Hook community.

Grand opening weekend at Whip Salon Newtown is this Saturday, July 20th from 8am to 6pm and Sunday, July 21st from 9am to 3pm.

Come meet the squad! Saturday there will be a DJ 2p- 5p, drinks, nibbles, giveaways and raffles as part of the grand opening festivities!

The salon’s first Hair-Raiser, a method of fundraising where a portion of sales is donated to a local charity or organization, will be held this weekend in honor of Dylan’s Wings of Change. 10% of all service sales will go to the charity throughout our grand opening weekend July 20th and 21st.”

Change which was created in the memory of his son Dylan Hockley, who was killed in the shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary on December 14th, 2012. The foundation created Wingman, a unique, youth leadership program developing social and emotional skills through team-bonding and trust-building activities. Wingman inspires children to be more empathetic, courageous and inclusive young leaders.
