Whiplash, Fashion Show Fundraiser to Benefit The Aldrich Contemporary Art Museum

Whip Salon, WEST boutique, SUX Straws, and Cylinder Vodka are pleased to announce Whiplash 2019, a fashion show fundraiser at The Aldrich Contemporary Art Museum in Ridgefield that will take place Thursday, October 17 from 7 to 10 pm. Funds raised will support The Aldrich Contemporary Art Museum.

This year’s Whiplash fashion show will have a rock-n-roll edge with styles from Westport boutique WEST. WEST, known for its bi-coastal flare, features established California designers, as well as other inspired brands (many of them women-owned) from around the world. The models at Whiplash, both women and men, are all local creatives such as writers, clothing designers, jewelry designers, and artists. Together they will rock outfits styled by WEST and hair and makeup looks created by Whip Salon.

The evening will include a cocktail hour, live DJ, exhilarating fashion show, and an array of silent auction items for partygoers to bid on. Cylinder Vodka, an award-winning environmentally conscious spirits company based in Connecticut, will be introducing a signature Whiplash vodka cocktails for the attending fashionistas.

The Aldrich’s Executive Director, Cybele Maylone, commented: “Whiplash continues to bring an incredible energy to The Aldrich, and we are so pleased to have a fun celebration of the local creative community at the Museum. We are grateful to our board member Amy Pal—and the entire Whiplash committee—for bringing this exciting fundraiser together this fall!”

The Aldrich is an incredible backdrop for this event and as a Trustee of The Aldrich my hope is that the fashion show will not only raise funds for the Museum, but bring awareness to this valuable resource in our community and a new audience to discover and delight in it.”

Tickets include hors d’oeuvres, open bar featuring the signature Whiplash Cylinder Vodka cocktail alongside wine and bubbly, a silent auction, and discounts, including 15% off at WEST, and giveaways for all attendees. VIP tickets, featuring front row seats, bartending service during the runway show, and goody bags are $100 per person. General admission is $75 per person.
