Music From the British Invasion and at The Meeting House in Newtown on May 6

The Newtown Choral Society will present music from the 1960’s British Invasion as well as works from the 1970’s 80’s and 90’s by Freddie Mercury and Queen at their spring concert “The British Invasion, Cont.d,” May 6 at 3:30 pm at The Meeting House, Main Street, Newtown

Under the direction of Mary Andreotta and accompanied by Susan Anthony-Klein, the concert will begin with a medley of Beatles songs along with Good Day Sunshine, Here Comes the Sun and Got To Get You Into My Life.

Included in the concert will be Dusty Springfield’s Son of a Preacher Man, in addition to Sting’s Fields of Gold and Queen’s Bohemian Rhapsody.

Tickets, available only at the door, are $10, with $8 for seniors and students.
