Newtown/Statewide Rally For Humanity on Saturday at Edmond Town Hall

Newtown-Statewide Rally For Humanity on Saturday, June 23 at Edmond Town Hall

The current policy of separating young children, infants at times from their immigrant parents, in order to dissuade them from seeking asylum at our southern border, has got to STOP. In order to join efforts and voice our outrage and disgust at this method of immigration control. We are launching rallies across our state on the weekend of June 23 and 24.

We have secured our first confirmed rally in Newtown. We will be announcing additional rallies when they are finalized.

In addition to speakers and music, we will be creating a community banner of multicolored handprints to show our collective outrage and eagerness to reach out and stop these human rights violations. Similar to the white armbands worn in the march in Washington a few days ago, Please wear a crisscross white ribbon to symbolize the pure innocence of children being affected.

If you are interested in hosting a rally, please contact us through messenger. This issue deserves a massive response! We have an evolving template to share with organizers.

Be advised topics discussed at this rally will be of a very serious nature and may make children uncomfortable. Bring children at your own discretion.
