Tree pruning workshop in Newtown on February 23

The Victory Garden in cooperation with the Newtown Forest Association, and the Huckleberry Finn School of Arborculture, will be offering a free 2 hour workshop on fruit tree pruning.

Participants will learn proven techniques for pruning several types of semi-dwarf fruit tree species, and also the finer points of shaping espalier apple trees. The class will be lead by arborist extraordinaire, Dan Dalton.

The class will be held on February 23th at 1:00 pm. The class will be held at The Victory Garden in Fairfield Hills, Newtown, Connecticut, ( behind the duplexes on Washington Square) Please dress approximately and bring your questions and a bypass hand pruner. This is a hands- on class.
