8th Annual Newtown Arts Festival September 20-21, 2019

The eighth annual Newtown Arts Festival returns Saturday and Sunday, September 21-22 at Fairfield Hills in Newtown, CT (https://newtownartsfestival.com/) Hours are 11am-5pm. Tickets can be purchased the day of the Festival with $5 adults; $3 children ages 5 - 12; under age 5 is free. Cash, Credit or Debit Cards Accepted.

New this year will be the “Freeway” with free activities and crafts all grouped together, including the popular Cardboard University.

The festival will also feature a Wine and Beer Garden, food trucks, artisans, all-day music and dance and painting demonstrations.

The Art of Farming will feature a demonstration of home beer making on Sunday. The Art of Science theme be light, including phone photography an kaleidoscopes.

The Wool Crafters will make their debut at this year’s festival with their own Fiber Tent.

Saturday’s theme at The Arts of Science tent will be light, including phone photography. On Sunday EverWonder Museum will be leading the workshops.

The Festival is presented by the Newtown Cultural Arts Commission. All proceeds of the festival fund scholarships for Newtown students majoring in the arts and grants to Newtown organizations or groups that provide artistic experiences. .
