Important Message from Newtown Labor Day Committee Regarding 2021 Parade

Newtown, with heavy hearts, the Newtown Labor Day Parade Committee has decided to cancel the parade for 2021.

The decision was not made lightly. But the time and effort required to execute the event are too much with the short time remaining before Labor Day.

The committee has always been lean and mean and does not have enough remaining members or volunteers to pull off this herculean event. So if you'd like to see the 60-year-old event return next year, PLEASE consider joining the committee or committing to volunteer.

We will begin the organizing process for 2022 in the Fall of 2021. Stay tuned for more information. To those who inquired about sponsoring or participating, we are sorry to have delayed in responding. We'd appreciate it if you would share our news Chamber of Commerce of Newtown, Inc. and The Newtown Bee

Sincerely,
The Newtown Labor Day Committee
The committee is a wholly-owned 501(c)3
