Join Toni McKeen via Zoom talk about the history of October Opals and other gemstones including Lapis Lazuli, Malachite and an unusual Tourmaline. Wednesday, November 17: James Baldwin – The Price of the Ticket 7:00 PM – 9:00PM. Join Library Director Douglas Lord, and Filmmaker/Director Karen Thorsen as they discuss the 21st Century Restoration of the Award-Winning Film Classic James Baldwin: The Price of the Ticket. (The film has been formatted into a 2K Digital Restoration from the original 16mm Negative.) This panel discussion will take place in-person in the Gathering Room at the Library and/or via Zoom. RSVP by registering for the event on our website.  Once you register you will receive a private film viewing invitation password & link during the film viewing period: November 8 until the discussion.

Tuesday, November 9: Creating Movie Props 7:00 PM – 9:00PM via Zoom. Ross Macdonald shares colorful stories about making props for the movie industry.
