60th Newtown Labor Day Parade Monday, September 5, Grand Marshals are Margot and Bob Hall

The Newtown Labor Day Parade Committee is pleased to announce the Grand Marshals for the 60th edition of the Newtown Labor Day Parade, Margot and Robert Hall.

Robert (Bob) is a practicing attorney; he was also the town attorney from 1967 to 1975. Margot is a retired Probate Judge. Reflecting the Halls’ love for the annual event, dedication, and commitment to Newtown, the theme for 2022’s Parade is “Celebrating Newtown’s Hidden Gems.“

Bob and Margot both have been members of served extensively with multiple community organizations. The Halls are longtime members of Newtown Congregational Church. In addition, Margot is a member of Newtown Woman’s Club, and Bob is a member of The Literary & Social Club of Newtown Street and The Rotary Club of Newtown.

Bob and Margot have been married for 61 years. They have three children, Elinor, Marianne, and Stuart, seven grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
