Newtown Rotary’s 62nd Annual Pancake Breakfast Tomorrow at Edmond Town Hall

Newtown Rotary Club’s Pancake Breakfast hosts its 62nd Annual event, Saturday, December 3, 2022, from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. in the Alexandria Room at Edmond Town Hall.

This longstanding tradition has marked the beginning of the holiday season for Newtown. Much celebrated, the event brings families across Newtown together to share friendship and tidings, while eating some of the best homemade pancakes the town has to offer. Enjoy entertainment with dance recitals from the Newtown Centre of Classical Ballet and Voice, and the Lathrop School of Dance, and perhaps, even a visit from Santa Claus himself.

It is not only the fellowship and nourishment, which makes this event so unique, but every dollar raised goes to support the needs of our community. Through fundraisers like this, Newtown Rotary Club supports the Newtown Scholarship Association, Newtown Volunteer Ambulance, C.H. Booth Library, Newtown Youth and Family Services, Dorothy Day Hospitality House, The Women’s Shelter of Danbury, the Regional Hospice of Western, CT, and many more. As part of our international service, we try and raise money to help fund lifesaving heart operations for children with congenital heart disease in developing countries through the Rotary Gift of Life International and under our own “Newtown Gift of Life Challenge.” Funds raised by the club have helped save the lives of well over 200 children.

All-you-can-eat tickets are available for $10.00/adult, and $5.00/child. The menu includes homemade pancakes, Butcher’s Best famous sausages, Maple Craft Foods award-winning maple syrup, and freshly roasted coffee from BD Provisions, along with milk, juices, and hot chocolate.

100% of proceeds support local non-profits and community organizations. Performances by the Newtown Centre of Classical Ballet and Voice, Lathrop School of Dance, and a visit from Santa himself. Gourmet offerings from local purveyors: coffee from BD Provisions, sausages from Butcher’s Best, and syrup from Maple Craft Foods.

The Newtown Rotary Club has been active in the Newtown community since 1939 and consists of all volunteers who provide community services in many ways throughout the year. Providing oversight of the Fund is by members of the Newtown Rotary Club and Newtown Rotary Foundation.
