Newtown COVID Test Kit Distribution this Week

COVID Test Kits were distributed today at Newtown Municipal Center. If you were unable to attend, there are a few more distribution dates scheduled for Newtown residents to pick up their free test kits.

Please register HERE to pick up your test kits.

Each household can receive one kit (note that each kit has 2 tests in it for a total of 2 tests per household). If you have already received one previously, please do not sign up again as there is not enough supply for every resident. Duplicate appointments will be canceled.

Wednesday and Thursday, January 19th and 20th at the Community Center/Senior Center as a drive-thru. This distribution is focused on our seniors and will have communication for sign-up directed to our seniors.

Friday, January 21st at the Municipal Center in Meeting Room 1

Saturday, January 22nd (alt date Sunday, Jan 23rd weather dependent) at Reed School as a drive thru

 Proof of residency and confirmed appointment will be required.

 Please have your email confirmation and your ID ready when you arrive at the distribution site.

 Only arrive during your scheduled time slot. The Community Center/Senior Center and the Reed School Distribution days will be distributed to registrants in their car, those are drive-through distributions.

The smaller distribution at the Municipal Center will be inside.

All distribution will be by confirmed appointment.

Newtown Emergency Management looks forward to distributing kits to residents, and wants to also preface this effort with the fact that there are not enough kits for every resident in Town.

We understand that this may prove to be challenging, as all things Covid-19-related tend to be. We will also distribute masks at the distributions, and masks will also be available in various locations in town.
