Registration is OPEN for New Pond Farm's A Run for the Cows

Don't miss out on the 2019 Run for the Cows!

Registration for the eighth annual Redding Road Race, A Run for the Cows is OPEN! This event is organized by Redding resident John McCleary, hosted by New Pond Farm Education Center, and the title sponsor is goneforarun.com.

Those interested in participating are urged to register early, as the race continues to fill in a matter of hours (under 8 hours last year).

Local runners, joined by those from more than 25 states and 90 Connecticut towns, will be traveling to New Pond Farm on Sunday, May 5th to participate in the half marathon, seven-miler, two "Mighty Cow Challenges" (“warmup” races followed by the half marathon), and the quarter-mile and three-quarter mile children's "Piglet Prance".

Registration can be found on the race website. The event will feature eight aid stations, runner awards and gifts, a fantastic crew of helpful volunteers, and a post-race gathering at New Pond Farm.

Information about Mile Marker Sponsorships for local businesses and families may be found on both the New Pond Farm and race websites. All race proceeds go to support New Pond Farm's hands-on environmental, historical, agricultural, astronomy, and arts programs that reach more than 5,000 area students a year, bringing their in-school curriculum to life.

Volunteers for this inspirational event are always welcome! Please contact Ann Taylor at ann@newpondfarm.orgfor more info.

Additional race details and contact information for Race Director, John McCleary, can be found on the race website.
