Newtown Storm Update January 21, 2019 (5:00 pm) – Important Information
At present roughly 200 homes are still without power.
Eversource is still working on a large outage impacting roughly 100 customers referenced earlier as Grays Plain. The streets impacted in this outage are Aspen, Grays Plain, High Rock, Kelly Court and New Lebbon. Restoration should be completed to these areas by 6:15pm.
Unfortunately, many of the remaining outages not mentioned above are limited to single homes so complete restoration will take more time, however, Eversource has confirmed crews will be working through the night.
Newtown’s First Selectman and the Emergency Management Office continue to urge residents to be safe and stay informed.
