Sebastian Teixeira DeOliveira, 56, of Newtown, husband of Carla (Carvalho) DeOliveira, died on Saturday, August 1, 2020, at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, New York, NY.

Mr. DeOliveira was born in Brazil, June 26, 1964, a son of Antonio and Carmelita (Teixeira) DeOliveira of Brazil. He attended schools in Brazil and emigrated to the United States in 1988 first settling in Danbury. Mr. DeOliveira owned and operated Green Summer Landscape of Danbury since 2001 and in prior years was a partner with his brother Gilbert in ABC Landscape & Masonry. He was a member of Paroquia Nossa Senhora de Aparecida (Our Lady of Aparecida Parish of Danbury)

In addition to his wife and parents, Mr. DeOliveira is survived by a son Daniel; daughter Leticia “Lele”; two brothers, Gilbert and his wife Luciana and Antonio “Junior” and his wife Debora; two sisters, Carmen Pitol and her husband Lucio and Carolina Valbuza and her husband Jose and nieces and nephews.

Family & friends will be received at St. Peter Church on Wednesday, August 5, 2020, from 6:15 P.M. until 7:15 P.M. Social distancing, hand sanitizing and facial covers will be required.

Due to the pandemic crisis and COVID-19 virus, a Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Wednesday, August 5, 2020, at 7:30 P.M. in St. Peter Church, 121 Main St., Danbury with Fr. Leonel S. Medieros of Our Lady of Aparecida Parish, Danbury officiating.  Social distancing and limited seating will be observed.

A Celebration of Life Service will take place on Thursday, August 6, 2020, at 11:30 A.M. in the Grace Family Church, 13 Covered Bridge Road, Newtown, CT with Rev. Adam Frederick, Pastor officiating. Due to the pandemic crisis, social distancing and limited seating will be observed.

The family will receive friends at Grace Family Church on Thursday from 10:15 A.M. until 11:15 A.M. Social Distancing, hand sanitizing and facial covers will be required.

Interment will take place in St. Peter Cemetery, 71 Lake Ave. Ext. on Thursday at 1:00 P.M.
