In preparation for today’s Grand Opening of their first Connecticut store, last night, Dover Saddlery, located at 720 Branchville Road in Ridgefield, held a preview party for area equestrian lovers, friends and store employees. On hand were many of the product manufacturers, as well as the core of Dover Saddlery’s management team. The event was catered locally by Bernard's Restaurant in Ridgefield.
The interior of the spacious and regal looking store is reminiscent of a Ralph Lauren catalogue, with the backdrop of hunter green, polished dark wood, equestrian art and classic chandeliers.
Just grab a big black bucket (or two) and start shopping. The store is officially open to the public today. In addition to a ribbon cutting, and giveaway for the first 50 customers, a raffle drawing for a $500 Dover Saddlery shopping spree, opening day events include a charitable donation to Pegasus Therapeutic Riding, a nonprofit that provides the benefits of equine-assisted activities and therapies to people with special needs, military veterans and individuals at risk.
