ST. ROSE OF LIMA PRE-K TO EIGHTH GRADE SCHOOL HOSTS OPEN HOUSE SUNDAY, JANUARY 27, 2019, 1:00-3:00 PM

Come explore the halls, classrooms and state–of-the art science lab at St. Rose of Lima School on Sunday, January 27, 2019, 1:00-3:00 p.m.   Meet the dynamic teachers, parents and students who create an energized learning environment.  This year marks the 60th anniversary of St. Rose of Lima School.  Graduates go on to high schools such as Fairfield Prep, Regis, Laurelton, Immaculate, St. Joseph’s and Newtown followed by colleges including Notre Dame, Boston College, UCONN, Northwestern, Fairfield University, Providence, Pepperdine, Baylor, George Washington University and many other noted institutions of higher learning.  A majority of alumni claim that the seeds of service, academic excellence, leadership and hard work were instilled in them at St. Rose School. They go on to make a significant mark in their careers, community and family lives. 

Located at 40 Church Hill Road in Newtown, CT, St. Rose of Lima School is designated as a Blue Ribbon school of Excellence by the U.S. Department of Education and accredited by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC).   All teachers are NY or CT State certified with a B.S. or M.S. in Education.  Nationally recognized as a recipient of the Gold Level Award in the Math Counts competitive program, the school also has two current students who were invited to the National Invention Convention and have pending patents for their inventions.  In addition to enriching core academic offerings, advanced math class, world language courses, musical theater and instrument instruction, Mock Trial and a competitive sports program are offered.  Brand new classroom sets of Chromebooks and Smart TVs support digital literacy.  After School child care is available and the the school is nut free.

St. Rose School is currently undergoing a complete infrastructure upgrade including WIFI, a brand new PA system and enhanced security cameras.
