Whip Salon is pleased to announce it will be opening its doors for a third location in Newtown on Wednesday, July 10th. The popular, high-end full service beauty salon offers haircuts, color services, blowout memberships and makeup services with other locations in Ridgefield and Westport. The salon caters to ladies, men and kids too and is delighted to be joining the Sandy Hook community.
In addition to offering top notch beauty services, part of Whip Salon’s mission is community driven. The salon company frequently holds “Hair-Raisers” in all of its locations. “A Hair-Raiser is essentially a method of fundraising where a portion of sales is donated to a local charity or organization,” said Whip Salon Newtown owner and entrepreneur Marcelle Tiffany.
“We can’t wait to open our doors on Wednesday and are thrilled to be joining the Newtown community,” said Tiffany. “We thought hosting our first Hair-Raiser in honor of Dylan’s Wings of Change would be a great way to kick things off to demonstrate our commitment to joining this wonderful community and company’s
passion for being a part of the fabric of Sandy Hook. 10% of all service sales will go to the charity throughout our grand opening weekend July 20th and 21st.”
“We’re so pleased that Whip Salon is coming to our town and excited to be teaming up with them again this summer,” said Ian Hockley founder of Dylan’s Wings of Change which was created in the memory of his son Dylan Hockley, who was killed in the shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary on December 14th, 2012. The foundation created Wingman, a unique, youth leadership program developing social and emotional skills through team-bonding and trust-building activities. Wingman inspires children to be more empathetic, courageous and inclusive young leaders.
Grand opening weekend at Whip Salon Newtown will be on Saturday, July 20th from 8am to 6pm and Sunday, July 21st from 9am to 3pm.
