Help the Newtown Lions Upgrade the Playground Equipment in Newtown Parks!
Did you know that as many as 11% of American children have limitations on physical activities due to chronic health conditions?
These kids use wheelchairs, walkers and other mobility devices to get around in our playgrounds but still may have limited opportunities to enjoy the same kinds of playground activities as other children.
Here in Newtown, Connecticut the Dickenson Park playground meets minimum federal standards but still needs ADA compliant specialized playground equipment so everyone can play together.
The Newtown Lions are raising funds to let physically challenged kids play with their friends.
