Thrillz and Jumpz Hosts Event for First Responders

High Flying Adventure Parks, Thrillz and Jumpz, partnered with Responder Wellness Inc. to host a Fun-Filled event in honor of the Tri-State Area's First Responders and their Families

Thrillz High Flying Adventure Park and Jumpz Trampoline Sports honored the area's First Responders with an evening of excitement and thrilling challenges for them and their families free of charge. Acknowledging the difficulties and stresses which the responders face, adventure park owners Rob and Lisa Cannon were more than happy to host the event with Responder Wellness Inc.

First Responders from cities west of Hartford and Mansfield Connecticut were invited, including: Danbury, Wilton, Waterbury, Norwalk, Brookfield, Easton, Redding, and more. There were also members of the FDNY in attendance, coming from as far away as Yonkers, NY.

“This event is the least we can do for our first responders who worked so diligently throughout the pandemic. At Responder Wellness Inc., we believe it is necessary to give our first responders an outlet” said Stacey Raymond, psychologist, trauma specialist and founder of Responder Wellness Inc. “We encourage self-care. First responders work hard, so they need to play hard. Thrillz gives them the opportunity to do this with their families.”

Said Peter Elste, Police Chair of Responder Wellness Inc. and 25-year NYPD veteran, “First responders need to have the ability to relax and to take care of each other after working almost 80-hour work weeks. Civilians don’t see everything we do. It is so important to have time to come together and relax."

"It's amazing to have the opportunity to do this with our families and other first responders.  Thanks to everyone involved," added Steve Hilderbrand, Danbury Police Union President.  Agreed Danbury Police Officer Christina Buoncore,"It's a good way to bring first responders together and for them to get to know each other." Buocore attended the event with her brother Ryan and his two sons, Jaxon and Derek.

Danbury, Connecticut’s premiere family fun centers are located off of i-84/Thrillz at 5 Prindle Lane and Jumpz at 21 Prindle Lane. Voted the state's number one party venues where events, such as this, as well as personal celebrations, can be hosted and catered. Both are open to the public Tuesday through Sunday every week!
