All Votes are for Democracy: Cast Your Ballot in Connecticut Primaries

I was excited to read about the surge in voter registration since the 2016 election.  The positive side of our current political division is that it has inspired more people to participate in our democracy by exercising their right to vote.  The upcoming primaries and election will be important opportunities for all of us to show what direction we want for our beautiful state.

Do we want Connecticut to be a place of opportunity for everyone?

Do we want Connecticut to have clean air and water, with vibrant cities and beautiful countryside?

Do we want Connecticut to be a place where everyone can get the health care they need?

Do we want Connecticut to be a place where every worker earns a living wage?

Do we want Connecticut to continue its recent strong economic and job growth?

Do we want Connecticut’s elected officials to serve everyone, the 99% as well as the 1%?

I want all of this for Connecticut; that’s why I will vote Democratic.  Whatever you want for our state, this is the time to register; you can register and/or choose a political party up until noon on August 13, and still vote in the primaries.

We have an important and exciting election coming up in November.

Make sure you can cast your vote to keep Connecticut a beautiful place to live and raise our families.

Let’s make this a record-breaking year for voter turnout!
