CT Sen. Tony Hwang to Moderate Distracted Driving Discussions in Newtown

Fairfield/Newtown, CT - State Senator Tony Hwang will moderate two expert panel discussions on Distracted Driving in Newtown and Fairfield/Southport/Westport. The forums come at the end of April, which has been dubbed Distracted Driving Awareness Month. The Panel will include representatives from local Law Enforcement, AAA Northeast, Dr. Neil Chaudhary of Preusser Research Inc. that performs comprehensive traffic safety studies, CT Dept. of Transportation, and Mourning Parents ACT (!MPACT).

According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, 3,400 people across the United States were killed in 2016 due to some form of distracted driving.
