UPDATE July 29 at 2:30 pm **FOUND SAFE**
The Newtown Police Department is happy to report that Mrs. Hampton has been safely located by local authorities in Ellicott City, Maryland unharmed.
We can’t thank everyone enough for the assistance we received from different area police departments and for all the prayers that her community gave her. I also like to thank our own officers who worked around the clock in coordinating with outside agencies to help quickly and safely find Mrs. Hampton.

**Silver Alert Update**
The Newtown Police have very good reason to believe that Mrs. Hampton is traveling in the state of Pennsylvania and we have been working with local authorities in that area, at this time this investigation continues as a health and welfare situation and not a criminal one.

**Silver Alert**
On 07/28/19, the Newtown Police Department received a call of a missing 81 year old female. Mrs. Hampton is known to become confused and often gets lost while out driving. Mrs. Hampton was last seen on Friday 7/26/19 her vehicle is also missing and is similar to the one pictured below. At this time there is no indication of criminal activity related to this case.
