Newtown police report that a local man reported missing and last seen in July 2013 at a gas station on Church Hill Road in Newtown has been found deceased.
Robert Hoagland, who has lived in Sullivan County, NY since November 2013 under the alias Richard King, was found when the Sullivan County Sheriff's Department responded to the untimely death of a male at a residence in Rock Hill, NY, according to Newtown police.
On December 5, 2022, the Sullivan County, NY Police Department contacted Newtown Police Department about the possible whereabouts of Hoagland.
The police report states, "They initially could not identify the male but found papers showing the name Robert Hoagland. Their search revealed he was missing from Newtown."
The Newtown Police Department sends condolences to Robert Hoagland's family and friends. "The family requests privacy during this difficult time."
