Fishes & Loaves Food Pantry has received a check in the amount of $1,150 from the Catholic Archbishop's Annual Appeal through its Vicariate Outreach Program.

The funding will help the food pantry continue its mission to feed the hungry by supporting the operation at The Pilgrim House. We are located at 30 Granite Avenue in Canaan the pantry is open on Wednesday morning from 9 to 11 a.m. We serve individuals and families from Canaan, Falls Village and Norfolk who are struggling to put enough food on the table - either temporarily or for the long term.

"We currently serve about 140 families," said Jean Chapin, Director of Fishes & Loaves and Office Administrator for North Canaan Congregational Church, United Church of Christ. "This generous support from the Archbishop helps us to Be the Church by helping those in need. Food insecurity seems to be increasing in this corner of Connecticut, but we are here every week to provide relief."
