COLLEEN GUNDLACH, EDITOR
Colleen was Northwest Corner born and raised, and went on to raise her own family here. A native of Winsted, she has been a strong member of the Norfolk community for the past 35 years, where she has served as a member of both the Norfolk Board of Education and of the Northwestern Regional #7 board.
Her interest in journalism began long ago when, as editor-in-chief of her high school newspaper, Colleen reported the weekly school news on a Saturday morning radio show on WTOR in Torrington. From there she went on to serve as a freelance correspondent for the Winsted Evening Citizen (now Register Citizen), covering Norfolk Town Hall news.
For the past ten years, she has served as an Executive Editor for Norfolk Now, the town's non-profit newspaper, and intends to expand her community involvement as editor of the Norfolk/Canaan HamletHub. "I have always been interested in ways to open the lines of communication among area towns," she says. "HamletHub is a wonderful opportunity for the people of Norfolk and Canaan to tell their stories and keep each other informed. I am proud to be a part of this vibrant and growing news source."
