HVRHS FFA Members Attend Agriculture Day at the State Capitol

FFA members from Housatonic Valley Regional High School and Wamogo Regional High School recently traveled to the state Legislative Office Building in Hartford for Agriculture Day, an annual event at the State Capitol that promotes farming and agriculture programs in the state.

The students were welcomed by State Representative Roberta Willis, who praised the students for their interest in farming and related agricultural interests that are so important to the towns of the Northwest Corner.

The National FFA organization, formerly known as Future Farmers of America, is the largest youth organization in the United States, with 610,240 members in 7,665 chapters across the country.
