HARTFORD – State Representative Brian Ohler (R-Canaan) was informed last week that he had officially earned a one hundred percent voting record for 2018. This marks the second year in a row that Rep. Ohler has earned a perfect voting record and has not missed a floor vote since being elected in 2016.
“I make sure that I am present and participate every time there is a House session and we are considering pending legislation. I am proud to report to the residents of the 64th House District here in the Northwest Corner that I took part in all 317 roll call votes in the House of Representatives this year,” explained Rep. Ohler. “I have not missed a vote throughout my entire term because I am truly committed to bringing the voice of my constituents to Hartford and to ensure the Northwest Corner has quality representation in Hartford.”
Rep. Ohler currently serves on the legislature’s Appropriations, Public Safety and Security, and Human Services committees. As a freshman legislator, Rep. Ohler was appointed to the Appropriations Committee’s Regulations and Protection subcommittee based on his experience within the public safety industry. This year, Rep. Ohler also re-established the Fire/EMS caucus, which is a bipartisan body of legislators to promote the duties of firefighters and emergency first responders across the state.
