Numerous accidents have been reported throughout the area Saturday afternoon as the snow continues to fall.
Route 44 in Colebrook - accident has closed the road. Colebrook and Norfolk emergency crews on the scene.
Route 8 at Colebrook/Winsted line - road is closed in both directions. Colebrook and Winsted emergency crews are assisting victims at the scene.
Route 8 in Winsted - just south of the above accident- in front of Millard's Welding. Car into a telephone pole.
Route 272 at Brandy Hill - Goshen/Torrington line - Torrington fire and rescue crews on the scene.
These all occurred between 1 and 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. Please proceed with extreme caution if you need to go out this afternoon
