Now that you know the Niners and Ravens are meeting to decide NFL supremacy in the Super Bowl, you need a place to watch the game, guzzle beer, devour Buffalo wings, pizza, burgers, or whatever it is you eat on gameday.
This is what’s up for Super Bowl Sunday in Norwalk (the Monday after SHOULD be a national holiday):
Burger Bar & Bistro: $3 drafts, $4 Smirnoff, and whoa, FREE wings throughout the game! They are also offering a group special for $50: five mini cheeseburgers, five pulled pork sliders, 10 wings, fries, onion rings, and frickles (fried pickles), and a bucket of six Pabst Blue Ribbon beers. If you bring the kids, there will be complimentary balloon animals made on the spot by Mr. Bungles from 5-7.
Black Bear: If unlimited is what you’re looking for, here you go! For $20 you get unlimited wings and Bud Light drafts for the FIRST HALF of the game. John Dough’s Pizza Bar: John Dough’s will be slinging plenty of New Haven style thin crust pizza with the game on 11 HDTVs with surround sound. Their full menu is available plus Buffalo wings, mozzarella sticks, and a few different pizza and beer specials featuring BBQ chicken pizza and Buffalo chicken pizza. A full service bar, 12 draft beers and 14 different bottles will be ready for your drinking pleasure.
Tavern on 7: On a personal note, I've spent the past two Super Bowls at Tavern on 7 enjoying their all you can eat buffet for $23.99 per person. The buffet includes their killer wings, ribs, chicken marsala, penne with vodka sauce, and more, and to wash it all down, $3 Dos Equis and $3.50 Bud Light. This year's big raffle prize is a 32 inch flat screen.
The Spread: The coolest new spot in Norwalk is offering drink specials on Super Bowl Sunday and with a menu different from most you'll certainly find a dish you have never had before and you'll probably fall in love with it. Their burgers, also really awesome.
