
Klaff’s, a widely sought-after resource of home design in the region, headquartered in Norwalk, CT, has donated to the Lockwood-Mathews Mansion Museum the proceeds from the Klaff’s Jerry Levine Charity Golf Outing held on August 11,th 2014. “We are proud to support this National Historic Landmark and its mission,” says Joe Passero, Klaff’s Chairman and Chief Operating Officer and Museum Trustee. “The Mansion enriches the community and the region through outstanding cultural and educational programs, while championing a 19th century iconic building that has become for so many a treasured destination.”
The donation of $19,954.00 is one of the largest corporate gifts the museum has received this year. It was presented to the Museum by Joe Passero on Monday, November 3 at 9:30 a.m. at the Museum, 295 West Avenue in Norwalk.
“We are thrilled to have received Klaff’s very generous support again this year,” said Patsy Brescia, LMMM Chairman of the Board of Trustees. “They have been steadfast supporters of the Mansion for more that ten years and we hope for many more to come.”
Klaff’s HomeDesignCenter was founded in South Norwalk, Connecticut, in 1921 as a family-owned, wholesale plumbing supply store. Today, Klaff’s is the largest independent upscale home design retailer in the country, owned and operated by the second and third generations of the Klaff family. In addition to its main showroom in South Norwalk, Klaff's operates two other full-service home design stores in Danbury, Connecticut, and Scarsdale, New York. The Lockwood-MathewsMansionMuseum is a National Historic Landmark. Tours for the museum and exhibit are offered Wednesdays through Sundays, at noon, 1 p.m., 2 p.m., and 3 p.m. Admittance is $10 for adults, $8 for seniors and $6 for children.
