Pain management group meditations are being offered every Thursday evening from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the popular Salt of the Earth Therapeutic Spa in Woodbury. The meditations are open to anyone interested in reducing, managing or eliminating their pain and conducted by Cynthia Quintanal.
A graduate of the Connecticut Center for Massage Therapy, Cynthia Quintanal, is certified in Connecticut and New York as a licensed massage therapist and is an intuitive healer and Reiki Master. She offers these one hour Pain Management Meditations inside the specially-designed Salt Cave at the Salt of the Earth Spa. No experience is necessary to participate.
Ms. Quintanal states, “Studies show that the effects of even short periods of time, 10 minutes, at a time will bring great pain relief. Using my ‘Binaural Beats’ Crystal Bowl during the meditations creates sound frequencies which aid in stimulating learning, improve sleep patterns, and peak mental alertness.
“Add to all of that the benefits inherent in meditating within a group of people, and the benefits are astounding for the management of pain. When people meditate together there is a collective common goal and intention of reducing and eliminating pain. A group meditation, plus meditating within the distinctive salt cave, magnifies the results.”
Ms. Susan Martovich, owner of the Salt of the Earth Therapeutic Spa adds, “All the classes, workshops and meditations we offer inside the salt cave are innately enhanced for each participant due to the natural vibrations from the Himalayan salt crystals and healthy ions that emanate from the distinctive salt cave environment.
“We created this Sanctuary at Salt of the Earth Spa to embrace the three elements that create a life force for the human body: salt, water, and light. Pain management meditations are a natural addition to all the healing services we offer within the cave environment.
The Pain Management Meditations are held every Thursday night at the Salt of the Earth Spa located at 787 Main Street South in Woodbury next to Dottie’s Diner. Participants are asked to wear comfortable clothing, refrain from wearing perfumes or colognes, and not to smoke a minimum of 1 to 2 hours prior to arriving at the spa to enter the salt cave.
The cost of each meditation is $30/person. To register, visit naturalsalthealing.com or call the spa at 203-586-1172, or email to soteswoodburyct@gmail.com.
