Why Small Businesses Matter
Shop small, do big things for your community
Why Small Businesses Matter puts a spotlight on the local merchants who donate their time, talent, goods, and services for the betterment of our community. The shop local movement spreads virally as local businesses who are “tagged” have the opportunity to share their story!
You're IT Cranbury Chapel!
Three questions with Bob Longmuir, owner of Cranbury Chapel.
Why did you start your business?
We “inherited” Cranbury Chapel 23 years ago. Originally built in 1881 as a combined effort of 5 different protestant churches, the Chapel was used as a church until 50 or so years ago. It was then used as a meeting/recreation hall. It was managed by a series of Boards of Directors until 1998 when Cranbury Baseball wanted a place to hold meetings.
We operate the building as a rental hall for music programs and various social events. This is our only function.
How many local businesses do you use to support your business (products and services) and can you name them?
We use the following businesses to support our business:
- Mitchell Outdoor Maintenance
- Building Maintenance of Connecticut, Inc
- Franks Refuse Service
Cranbury Chapel is located at 5 Frank Street Norwalk. Visit Cranbury Chapel online on their Facebook page here!
