NORWALK, CT, MAY 13, 2024. Nancy von Euler, a tireless champion for educational access and equity, has been named new president and CEO of the Norwalk Community College Foundation (“the Foundation”).
The appointment was announced by the board of directors for the Foundation, whose mission is to raise and allocate funds to support the students and programs of CT State Community College Norwalk. It culminated a four-month-long search for a new leader of the nonprofit organization’s operations. Ms. von Euler assumes her new role June 24.
“We are very excited to have Nancy von Euler join the Foundation,” said Board Chair Deborah McLean. “She impressed us with her stellar record of leadership, working collaboratively with staff, partner agencies, community groups, and funders as well as with her demonstrated emphasis on teamwork and partnership.”
“We have every confidence that she will build strong relationships and be the creative leader the Foundation needs moving forward to continue serving the students and enriching the programs of CT State Norwalk.”
Ms. von Euler has dedicated herself to the nonprofit sector and has an intimate understanding of philanthropy and education, having served in a variety of roles at Fairfield County’s Community Foundation. During her time there, she led and managed collaborations with CT State Norwalk and the Foundation, including the implementation of the Family Economic Security Program and a Thrive by 25 pilot project. Ms. von Euler has been the Executive Director of Horizons at New Canaan Country School since 2017. Like CT State Norwalk and the Foundation, Horizons serves under-resourced, under-represented students from Stamford and Norwalk. In addition, she is actively involved in the Cradle-to-Career initiatives in Stamford and Norwalk and is currently the board chair of Norwalk ACTS.
The Foundation worked with the Darien-based consulting firm, The Strategy Group, LLC throughout their search.
