Thrown Stone Theatre Company's Seventh Season at Crystal Theatre, South Norwalk

Thrown Stone Theatre Company's its seventh season, at the Crystal Theatre in South Norwalk. Featuring the world premieres of Fools’ Paradise by Jonathan Winn and The Good District by Tony Meneses, the 2025 season explores themes of personal transformation, resilience, and the courage it takes to live with purpose.

“The courage to live purposefully feels more urgent than ever,” said Jonathan Winn, Co-Artistic Director of Thrown Stone, “and theatre — especially new work — is uniquely equipped to ask the hard questions about who we are and who we want to be.”

Thrown Stone audiences will remember Tony Meneses as the author of The Caterers, which performed at the Aldrich Contemporary Art Museum in The Suburbs season in 2021. His celebrated works include Guadalupe in the Guest Room, twenty50, The Hombres, and many more.

“I’m thrilled to work with Thrown Stone again,” said Tony, “the first company to instill faith in me that theatre would survive the pandemic! I have such fond memories creating new work with this new work devoted company, and can’t wait to do it again. Especially with The Good District, a play all about making something wondrous, even in the most unexpected and challenging of circumstances.”

After 25 dynamic years as a performer, director, and producer, Jonathan Winn brings his creative vision to playwriting with Fools’ Paradise.

“Jonathan took a much-needed vacation last spring, and he came back with this satire that is both sharp and deeply moving” said Co-Artistic Director Jason Peck. “It hilariously and poignantly examines how privilege can leave us surprisingly ill-equipped to survive, blending absurdity and social commentary into a story that cuts straight to the bone. I can’t wait to share it with our audience.”

2025 also marks Thrown Stone’s first year-round calendar, made possible by its newly announced residency at the 232-seat Crystal Theatre in South Norwalk. Known for its deep roots in the community, the Crystal Theatre has been a beloved cultural institution in the region for over three decades.
