Wakeman boys & Girls Club Halfway to $50K in Scholarships

Halfway through an exciting four week, national online competition, Wakeman Boys & Girls Club announced today that Club member Billy Narvaez is in first place in the 2014 Maytag Dependable Leader Awards voting!  Through a national partnership, Maytag and Boys & Girls Clubs of America selected Billyas one of five finalists nationwide to compete for the distinction, which includes $50,000 in scholarships dollars to help the Club deepen its impact in the community.

The 2014 Maytag Dependable Leader Awards recognize Club professionals and volunteers who are committed to making a difference in the lives of youth, and are dependable and exceptional role models.
