2019 Human Services Council School (HSC) Supply and Backpack Drive
Family Day, a long-standing tradition in the City of Norwalk, unites for a fun-filled, drug-free afternoon with human services agencies that provide information related to services and resources. Additionally, these agencies endeavor to build relationships that support shared values and promote respect for cultural diversity and awareness especially around issues related to education, underage drinking, substance use, health and wellness.
This year’s Family Day celebrations will be held August 3rd, 2019 at Colonial Village and August 24th, 2019 at Roodner Court. The day will consist of a resource fair, food, music, face painting, giveaways and the distribution of backpacks filled with school supplies to help equip children for the 2019-2020 school year. The Human Services Council (HSC) is looking to your organization for a donation of backpacks and school supplies to give the youth who attend Family Day.
HSC is a 501 (c) 3 non-profit agency that has identifies unmet community needs and “fill the gaps” by creating and fostering programs that educate, safeguard, and enhance the lives of people living and working in our communities. Collaborating with other organizations, HSC serves over 11,000 children, families, and individuals each year. Any donations that your organization can provide would greatly be appreciated and I thank you in advance for your consideration in this matter.
