After-School Program Volunteers Needed

Family & Children’s Agency (FCA) is in need of volunteers for the ASPIRE after-school program. By providing homework help and guidance to the middle school students in the program, volunteers make a huge impact on these young people.

ASPIRE improves the lives of Norwalk’s middle school youth by enabling their successful transition into high school and increasing their ability to be productive, independent young adults. The program is open to Norwalk middle school students who meet the program criteria. In addition to academic support, the program offers enrichment activities, helps promote character development and reinforces executive functioning skills.

Volunteers are asked to commit to one afternoon a week for three months. The program runs from 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. five days a week during the school year at FCA’s Ben Franklin Center location.

For more information or to apply to become a volunteer, please contact Lisa Habasinski at LHabasinski@fcagency.org or call her at 203-523-5735.
