Norwalk Chefs Cooking for Charity at Aitoro Appliance

On Thursday, November 21, 2019, Aitoro Appliance, 401 Westport Avenue, Norwalk, will host a collaborative fundraiser, the 3rd Annual Local Chefs, Cooking for Charity:  A kick off to the holiday season from 6:00-8:30 pm.  This event will benefit two Norwalk non-profit organizations:  the Human Services Council and the Norwalk Rotary Club.

Tony Aitoro provides an amazing venue in his Westport Avenue location which features a beautiful showroom gleaning with the latest, greatest and most stylish kitchen appliances and accouterments.  A dozen local chefs will prepare small plates of their specialty dishes and guests will go from station to station sampling these amazing creations.; featured restaurants include:  Blind Rhino, Dry Dock Bar & Grille, Cask Republic, Copps Island Oysters, Don Carmelo’s Mexican Grill & Tequila Bar, El Segundo, Forever Sweet Bakery, Planet Pizza, Steel Sharpens Steel Catering, The Spread, Washington Prime and Winfield Street Coffee.  We are so grateful for the efforts of all of these Norwalk businesses who have made possible the success of this event.  In addition, La Dolce Bakery and Wave Hill Breads could not be in attendance but were kind enough to donate desserts to the event.

In addition to ticket sales, this collaboration wouldn’t be possible with our generous sponsors.  Thank you to Norwalk Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery, Fairfield County BankKey BankWebster Bank , HomeServe USA, and Lesko Funeral Home.  In addition, we would like to thank several local businesses who also supported the event by advertising in our program book and donating over $7,000 in auction items.

It is a perfect event for networking or a night out with friends and family.  It is an evening of community collaboration and, of course, a celebration of the upcoming holiday season.  Your attendance will make an impact and make a difference to several deserving families in the community.  Tickets are $50 if purchased prior to the event and $60 at the door.  Guests will also enjoy beer, wine, soda and coffee and have the opportunity to purchase tickets for a “chance” raffle and a “50/50” raffle.

"The Norwalk Rotary Club has a strong history of supporting the residents of this community.  Whether it's volunteering at the Oyster Festival, providing dictionaries for all third grade students, or awarding scholarships for graduating high school students, our club has maintained a very strong community presence.  I'm so excited for this fantastic event which will help to fund our local projects”, said Claudia Tata, President of the Norwalk Rotary Club Anthony DiLauro, Executive Director of the Human Services Council exclaimed “HSC is thrilled to partner with the Norwalk Rotary once again.  Collaborating in the community with fellow non-profits as well as local business owners creates a strong positive message to the families we serve -- we are all stronger when we work together. HSC’s five programs include substance abuse prevention education, child advocacy, school-based mentoring, school-based health and supportive housing.  This event will help us help more deserving children, families and individuals in the Greater Norwalk area and I hope you can join us”.
