LifeBridge Raises over $80,000 on Giving Day. Gives Thanks.

Over 1,200 donors supported the campaign to help secure a Grand Prize!

For the third year in a row, LifeBridge Community Services has won a Grand Prize from Fairfield County’s Community Foundation for securing the highest number of unique donors during the Foundation’s annual Giving Day campaign. In total, LifeBridge raised over $80,000 to support youth programming and behavioral health services for children and families in Bridgeport.

Alan Mathis, LifeBridge President & CEO said, “We want to thank Fairfield County’s Community Foundation, Champion Sponsor, Bank of America and all of the sponsors for the opportunity to participate and to raise visibility of the challenges our Bridgeport neighbors face. For them, this funding is life-changing and they are the true winners of our successful campaign. Thank you to everyone who supports our work!”

As the region's biggest philanthropic event of the year, Giving Day encourages thousands of individuals to come together and make a difference in the lives of their neighbors across all 23 cities and towns of Fairfield County.

Giving Day raised a record $2.25M for local nonprofits this year and sponsors provided a bonus pool of more than $140,000 in prize money. LifeBridge was awarded $23,500 in bonus prizes for achieving various benchmarks throughout the day.

“Giving Day has become a significant fund- and friend-raiser for LifeBridge and preparing for the day is a year-long effort. We value everyone’s trust in our work and pride ourselves in leveraging people’s investment,” said George Kasper, Esq. LifeBridge board member and Giving Day chairman.
