AAA Norwalk Hosts Food Drive To Support CT Food Bank

AAA Northeast invites members of area communities to drop off nonperishable, microwaveable or easy-to-prepare food items at the AAA Norwalk Branch to help replenish the Connecticut Food Bank, Wallingford.

AAA’s  3^rd Annual Summer Food Drive runs through July 28. There are drop-off bins in the 495 Westport Ave branch in Norwalk.

The branch is open Mondays – Fridays from 9 am – 5 pm and Saturdays from 9 am – 1 pm.

AAA Norwalk is one of 8 AAA branches that is collecting nonperishable items for local community organizations. The tradition started three years ago to raise awareness that food insecurity is a year-round issue. Over the last year, the economic fall out of the pandemic has created more widespread food insecurity. 

“With your help, we know this year’s summer food drive will make a difference,” said Laura Schirillo, AAA Norwalk Branch Manager.
